Learning About Our Bodies

Year 5 have been studying the Human Body over the past few weeks. They have made models of their arms and how the muscles work and also their lungs showing how the two lungs inflate and deflate as we breathe. they have looked at the effect of smoking on their lungs and have decided that smoking is NOT a good idea! They have visited the Chrissie Tomlinson Hospital and met with physiotherapists to learn about the importance of looking afer their bodies. On Wednesday they had a visit from Paediatrician, Dr. Robinson, who was able to answer lots of their questions about how their body systems work. They are working on their assessment project at the moment - they have lots of information to use in their presentations.
